There are multiple options available to consumers to finance their solar system purchase.  During your evaluation your representative will identify what financing option or system option you have.  We are able to assist with loans, leases and PPA’s.  If your solar system is financed with a property tax assessment program or if it was paid cash we would be unable to qualify you.

First, you’re not alone, it is estimated that 70% or more of all solar installers who have been recently operating over the last 10 years have gone out of business.  This poses a major problem for people who have a warranty with their solar systems. If your system needs repair and your installer is out of business, you no longer have a warranty and any repairs would have to come out of pocket.  Your representative will assess your situation and provide your options.

Every case is unique and timelines can depend upon your individual situation.  Once you begin the relief process your creditor will receive documentation and the process will begin.  We typically see most clients receive their relief in 8-18 months.

Often our clients will report they did not receive the promises they were sold. This could include performance, lack of completion, failure to install properly and often our clients feel deceived.  Our team will evaluate your situation and identify what promises were made and assess how this may help your claim for relief.

Dealer fees are often undisclosed fees that increase your loan balance, without the proper disclosures. This has been a common practice for many solar finance companies. Improperly or failing to disclose the fees may be legally questionable and create more opportunity for relief.

A UCC lien is a claim to the panels and equipment, not your home, until your loan has been paid in full or the UCC lien expires. We understand lien issues will be sure to resolve the lien in your solar relief program.

If you used your tax benefit to pay down a portion of your loan, you may qualify for a full refund of the amount paid.  Our team will assess your individual case and build a relief program to provide you with the most benefit.

A secured solar loan is a loan that tied to the panels and equipment associated to your solar system.  This allows lenders to put a UCC lien tied to the equipment at your property address.  An unsecured loan has no collateral and there is no recourse in the event of defaulting on your loan.

If you’re given the opportunity to refinance your solar loan into your home mortgage, this may be an attractive action on paper, lowering payments and interest. However, once you convert it into your mortgage you’ve paid off the loan and the debt is now attached to your home and you will lose any potential to dispute the loan and receive relief.

In most cases when an agreement is made our clients are able to keep their solar panels after a  resolution has been made. Creditors may have the right to repossess the panels, however, due to the financial, logistical and liability risk this is unheard of.

When an agreement or settlement is made with a company and a client receives release, there is a non-disclosure agreement which prevents the details of the relief being released to the public.
