This is the most common credit for going solar and even with this well known tax credit, the vast majority of people who go solar have not fully monetized the Federal Tax Credit.  This credit is a 30% tax credit that you will receive, which will result in a refund or a reduction in taxes owed. *Actual amount and form of receipt will be evaluated by a licensed CPA.

With the proper restructuring of your tax filing by a qualified and knowledgeable CPA you will be able to write off all of the interest paid towards your loan over the entire term of your loan. For many, who have a higher interest loan, this is a substantial amount of money coming back to you.

Most lenders will do something called “front loading” the loan where the majority of the interest has been paid during the first 5-7 years of your loan, allowing you to write off virtually every payment you’ve made during this period of time.

This is a tremendous and financially rewarding benefit when you work with our team.  This allows you to depreciate the entire cost of the system.  With the new administration in the Whitehouse there is a good chance you’re going to be able to push all of this depreciation in the same year, which must means you get your money faster.

The Energy Community Credit Bonus applies an additional up to 10% (for production tax credits) or 10 % (for investment tad credits) for projects, facilities and technologies located in energy communities.  Your senior consultant will be able to identify if you’re in an energy community.
